Getting Organized!
March 7, 2008 – 4:13 pmWe have been asking God for wisdom for years now, and I guess slowly, through many mistakes, are gaining some wisdom! We met with a friend from church a couple weeks ago. My friend owns a bank in town, and is always eager to help people when they need it. He mentioned that a new couple had moved into our fair city, and had background as Crown Financial Ministry coaches. I stopped by and visited the couple, and we were sceduled for our very first meeting!
Our task now is getting things organized. Through the years, I have fine-tuned Quicken’s categories to better suit our tax purposes; but they were still rather ambiguous. I am now going though and modifying everything to match Crown’s Monthly Income and Expenses form; which goes right along with taxes as well. I am having to modify things a little, especially regarding our business. Since it is done without being separate, we have to mix it in, and creating categories that will separate; but include.
The next trick to having a “Budget”, or the better term “Spending Plan” is trusting the income God will provide! We have been self-employed now for about 8 years, and he has always provided; so we are not fretting!
